How To Reset HP Printer?

Resetting the HP printer is the first and best solution to solve any issues with it. There are two ways to reset an HP printer. 1. Switch on your HP printer.
2. Disconnect the USB cable of the printer if connected.
3. Open the access cover of the printer.
4. The access cover is present at the top or front of the printer based on its model.
5. Remove the ink cartridges from the printer.
6. Wait until the Insert Ink Cartridges message appears on the screen.
7. Remove the power cable of the HP printer.
8. Wait for a few minutes.
9. Connect the power cable back to the power cable of the HP printer and electrical wall outlet directly.
10. After plugging the cable, the printer powers up automatically.
11. If the printer does not turn on, power it up by force pressing its power button.
12. Reinstall the ink cartridges into the HP printer.
13. Reconnect the USB cable and complete the reset process.

Procedure to execute soft reset on the HP printer

1) Turn on the HP printer by force pressing its power button.
2) On the control panel of the printer, tap the OK button.
3) If the OK button is not present on the control panel, tap the Setup key.
4) Choose the Service option.
5) Select Restore Defaults.
6) Choose the option that is related to reset the HP printer.
7) Wait until the HP printer resets by itself.
8) Now the printer deletes all the customized settings.
9) You can configure the settings if needed.

Another way to reset the HP printer is by reinstalling its software. Find easy guidelines to reinstall the software in the following steps.

1. Go to the destination folder of the driver file.
2. Right-click on the file and select the Delete or Uninstall option.
3. Check for other printer related software files in all the folders on your computer and delete them.
4. Restart your computer.
