Choose your T-shirt & apply pretreatment solution

  • For best results, choose your T-shirt which is made of combed and ringspun cotton, Bamboo, Polyester, or Linen.
  • Keep the T-shirt on a flat surface and apply pretreatment solution on the print area of it.
  • The pretreatment process delivers a vivid and crisp output. The pretreatment solution can be purchased from the manufacturer’s store.
  • After applying the solution, leave the T-shirt to dry for a few minutes. You can air-dry the T-shirt at medium pressure.

Place the T-shirt on the respective place of the Epson DTG printer

  • Before placing the T-shirt, run a nozzle check for the printer.
  • Connect the Epson printer to your computer.
  • Keep your T-shirt on the pallet of the DTG printer. Smoothen the T-shirt by applying the hoop on the print platen.

Choose your image to print by using the Garment Creator software

  • Open the Garment Creator software on your computer which is connected to the Epson DTG printer.
  • Click the File menu at the top left corner of the display.
  • Navigate to Open and click it. Choose the image you need to print on the loaded T-shirt by clicking it.
  • Adjust the size of the picture according to the loaded T-shirt.

Configure the print settings to print your T-shirt

  • Choose your desired settings under the Preset menu at the top-right corner of the screen.
  • Change the other print settings that are available in the software.
  • Use the Print key at the bottom right corner of the screen and begin to print your T-shirt.
  • Wait until the printer prints the T-shirt.
  • After printing the T-shirt, load it in a heat press for drying it up.
  • Now your T-shirt is printed successfully.

Why pretreating is an essential process?

The pretreating process lets the Epson DTG printer to print vibrant colors. Also, the process helps in delivering high-quality printouts. The liquid used for pretreating prevents the ink from soaking into the T-shirt during the printing process. The liquid lets the ink to apply on your garment properly. It occupies the space between the weaving of the T-shirts fibers to prevent your cloth from ink soaking. So, it is necessary to pretreat your T-shirt for best results.
